South Carolina is ranked #7 in the nation for the number of deaths which involve men killing women due to domestic violence
There were 50 known deaths due to domestic violence
South Carolina had 4,144 women and children living in domestic violence shelters
355 women were turned away at domestic violence shelters due to lack of shelter space
The Attorney General's Pro Bono Program has prosecuted 2,300 domestic violence cases with a 70% conviction rate
17,812 women received non-shelter services
2,519 children received non-shelter services
There were 20,030 calls answered at Crisis Lines
