South Carolina is ranked #8 in the nation for the number of deaths which involve men killing women
There were 46 known deaths due to domestic violence
South Carolina had 3,960 women and children living in domestic violence shelters
355 women were turned away at domestic violence shelters due to lack of shelter space
The Attorney General's Pro Bono Program has prosecuted 2,300 domestic violence cases with a 70% conviction rate
20,273 women received non-shelter services
2,519 children received non-shelter services

OUR MISSION
To provide household furnishings to domestic violence victims and their children. To give out information on other helpful services.
To promote abuse-free relationships.
Domestic Violence Assistance has been in operation almost 2 1/2 years and has been able to help 195 women and children all through donations.
Our Director was one of Greenville Talk Magazine's
"25 Most Beautiful Women"
in their October 2008 issue.

You can help by donating items. We can pick up any furniture you have to donate that is in good condition when we are in need. You can make a monetary donation by mailing a tax deductible in-kind donation.
